NATIONAL ACTION
celebrates
150 years anniversary of Eureka.
Supporters of Australian National Action commemorated the anniversary of the uprising at the Eureka Stockade on the weekend of December 3rd.
Nationalists took no part in official government activities, which are designed to foster a folksy, colonial Australia tourist image of the events at Eureka.
Clearly the political establishment has decided that, since the powerful symbolism of Eureka cannot be denigrated forever, or simply ignored, it is better to try to give the Eureka Stockade a multicultural, liberal democratic makeover.
